Technical Requests/Information Sheet for Sponsors of
              NICE GIRLS DON'T SWEAT

STAGING

If there are several options for the staging area, it is
most important to choose a site that matches the size of the
room to the size of the anticipated audience. Many kinds of
sites will work well, including:

--amphitheater setting, with performer on the flat and
seats rising in rows away from stage
--thrust or proscenium stages in theaters
--in hotels/other institutional meeting halls :
risers 18-24" high forming a platform approximately
10-12' deep x 12-18' wide. If the room has mirrors
on the wall, either have the stage set up against a
non-mirrored wall or ask that the mirrors be covered.

***I will need to have access to the staging area for
light check and set-up--with all audiovisual
equipment in place--2-3 hours before the doors open
or before any other activity in that room that
precedes the show (i.e. banquets, etc.)

LIGHTING

Lighting is a critical element for this show and should
be considered in choosing the site, if you have options.
Periodically, I will be showing slides on one part of
the stage while still talking in character from another
part. The first needs to be in the dark, the second in
the light. On regular stages, this can be accomplished
with the use of spotlights. In settings without theater
lights and with limited flexibility, we need to work out
the lighting situation (by putting the screen offstage
in a darkened area, by using rear projection screen, by
unscrewing bulbs in ceiling fixtures, by bringing in a
spotlight, etc.) so the slides can be displayed to their
     best advantage.

AUDIO VISUAL/PROPS

I have the visual images as slides on a CD for computer.
Sponsor provides a slide screen, computer and video
projector with all necessary cables, etc, and remote
capability. I'll bring a Targus USB wireless pointer
with a 50-foot range. But if for some reason it is not
compatible, we may need your remote. My slides can be
copied to the hard disk from either my CD or my USB flash
drive , or they can be shown directly from the CD or USB
flash drive. I will bring an autorun.exe option that
requires no other software. It couldn't hurt to have
back-up computer availability in case of a crash. A tech
person needs to be available & on-hand at set-up and
     during the show.

The sponsor is asked to provide the following props:

**Wingback or other comfortable living room chair,
end table, and rug (big enough to tie the area together).
It is important that the area between the arm and seat
of chair not be open, since the remote box or computer
remote may be taped to side.

   **Women's basketball

**Modest-sized "boom box" for playing audiotape or CD.
When we can play music over house system, the boom box
is just used as an on-stage prop. Otherwise, boom box
     needs to work.

**When amplification is required, I need to use a small
     wireless lavalier body microphone.

DRESSING ROOM

When possible, a stage dressing room with toilet
facilities, mirrors, and lights is requested. In
other settings without stage dressing rooms, please
provide a private dressing area with an adequate
mirror for applying makeup. At events held in hotels,
I can dress in my room if I am lodged in the same hotel.

DUPLICATION OF MATERIALS

     Publicity materials--picture, poster, program--will be
sent via email attachment or postal mail for your use.

Please duplicate the program for the number of people
you expect. Programs will be distributed as people
     arrive.

Should you have use for a poster, please duplicate the
one you receive. There is room for you to include your
     date/time/place/sponsor information.
