• Join Barbara Knight, aka Miz Wizard, as she prepares for and tapes the premiere show of Miz Wizard's Science Secrets for public access cable tv, channel 82.
• With a sense of history and humor, she tells stories about women's contributions to science, engineering, invention, and math... about revolutionary research and media portrayals... about theories of sex difference over time... about obstacles faced and overcome by women whose passion is discovery.

• Miz Wizard even conducts a few simple demonstrations of physical and chemical principles. Most of the time they don't explode.

• Depending on the version, Miz Wizard's Science Secrets is a 60-75 minute solo performance which incorporates slides, video, demonstrations, and storytelling.

"Wow! What a wonderful performance. Thank you for bringing your enlightening and entertaining presentation to our campus. I spoke to several students after the show who were both greatly amused by your presentation style and highly enlightened by the struggles women have faced, both in being inaccurately portrayed by science and in the attempt to do great science. One computer science faculty member was glowing as she talked about your description of the life and work of Grace Murray Hopper.

Your show truly had something for everyone. Even my three-year-old son managed to sit still through the program. Later, when we got home, he said, "That lady had a skeleton costume on."

Many people made the effort to sign-up to receive your resource list, a clear indication that you have accomplished in 75 minutes what many teachers spend an entire semester trying to accomplish: motivating students to take their educations into their own hands and further explore topics on their own.
